Where Will We Park In Dorchester?

Concerns are being raised about how much parking will be lost in Dorchester during the next phase of the Charles Street Development.
The town's Chamber of Commerce have voiced their fears during the final few days for comments on the planning application.
The next phase of the £60M development features 27 new retail units, including a new Waitrose and Marks & Spencer.
A new public car park will be built, but Chamber President Alison Moore says what do businesses do while they're waiting for that to happen?
"Dorchester Chamber of Commerce Industry and Tourism generally welcomes the progression of the Charles Street scheme as uncertainty makes for a difficult trading environment for Chamber members."
"However we do have concerns, the main one is that the issue of alternative car-parking during archaeological work and construction is not being addressed. Chamber members have experience based on the previous development works and need to make Council aware that this will negatively impact Dorchester. Before any closure of existing carparks the plan must be in place for alternative car parking."
"Also, the plans seem to show access to the scheme from a point opposite existing Waitrose car park, which surely would cause traffic chaos?"
"We would also like to support the other agencies in their requests for affordable housing, to ensure that employees in Dorchester businesses have a variety of housing accommodation available."
