New Drop-In Centre For Bridport

(Updated 2:28pm 25th September 2014)
A new drop-in centre is opening in Bridport for anyone suffering or recovering from mental health problems.
The centre will offer a range of treatments like chess games, swimming and yoga to help with social relaxation and health issues as well as providing support and information too.
Members don't have to be referred by a doctor to go to the centre as its available to anybody experiencing anxiety and depression who haven't asked for help.
Organisers Councillors Roz Copson, Ros Kayes and Lesley Archibald told Wessex FM;
“We’ve been given so much, from a fridge and TV to a vintage Winnie the Pooh, to be auctioned to raise funds – also books, CDs and games. ( Perhaps there’s someone out there with a spare printer?) So many people have told us that this Centre is what’s needed – and there’s also been a brilliant response from potential volunteers.
Ideas, comments and offers of help or volunteering are all welcome - contact us by calling at Downes Street on Thursdays from 10am, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.”
It'll be open for four days a week from mid-October on Mondays, and Wednesdays to Fridays from 10am-3pm on Downes Street.
