20mph for Westham? Have Your Say TODAY

You can have your say this afternoon on plans to cut the speed limit in Westham in Weymouth.

Dorset County Council want to know what you think about making it a 20 mph zone.

A drop in event is being held at St Paul's Church on Abbotsbury Road from 2.30pm - 7pm tonight.

Cllr David Harris, county councillor for Westham, said: "We feel Westham is suitable for an extension of the 20mph speed limit because of the vulnerable mix of elderly and young pedestrians with vehicles.

"We are a busy community with two schools as well as other community facilities, and I'm sure there are particular roads where people don't feel as safe as they could.

"We need to hear from residents to find out if they want more 20mph restrictions and, if so, where they think they should be."
