New Leadership At IPACA

IPACA GOOD SCHOOL

6:55am 3rd October 2014

New leadership is being put into place at The Isle of Portland Aldridge Community Academy after their principal left just days before the start of the school year.

The shock resignation of Alison Appleyard came after the academy's best ever GCSE results and getting a 'Good' rating from Ofsted.

The governors have announced vice-principals; Darren Marklew, Stuart McLeod and Robert Russell will be in charge for at least two terms as Joint Interim Principals.

They've already been looking after the school following Mrs Appleyard's resignation and had done so before when she was absent last year.

Chair of Governors, John Tizard told Wessex FM; "They will continue to build on IPACA's successes and strengthen engagement with parents and the local community."

IPACA has a very positive future, the Governors have every confidence that Stuart, Darren and Rob will lead and steer IPACA on its journey of improvement and opportunity."
