A gardening expert is backing Dorset Wildlife Trust's new gardening initiative 'Make Wildlife Welcome'.

Kate Bradbury is Wildlife Editor for Gardener's World Magazine and her new book is being offered as a free gift to anyone who joins the campaign.

The scheme gives gardeners advice on how to create a haven for wildlife all year round.

James Haldane from Dorset Wildlife Trust told Wessex FM; "There are an estimated 15 million gardens in the UK, and even if only a small percentage of the population 'Make Wildlife Welcome', it would make a huge difference to the survival of wildlife this winter."
