Purbeck District Council is being rewarded for the way it handles employing disabled staff.

It's been awarded the 'Positive about Disability' Two Ticks symbol from Job Centre Plus and it's the fourth year in a row they've won the title.

The award is handed out to employers who are positive about employing and retaining disabled people.

Councillor Gary Suttle, Leader of Purbeck District Council, said:  "Purbeck District Council is committed to creating an environment which encourages disabled people to seek and maintain employment with us.

"We are delighted that Job Centre Plus continues to recognise this commitment by awarding us with this accreditation."
