Bridport Ladies In Pole Position To Fight Male Cancer This Halloween
3:36pm 14th October 2014
Ladies in Bridport are pole dancing for men this Halloween but not in the way you might be thinking of...
It's part of a Cabaret that'll include belly dancing and hula hooping as well to raise money for Orchid, the UK's leading charity working on male-specific cancers.
It's the third pole showcase the group have ever done, with around 15 local women performing this time.
Ally Franklin, founder and teacher of Polelatis, who has organised the fundraiser said "Some of the ladies have men in their lives, friends or family who have suffered or lost their fight to testicular or prostate cancer."
I thought it might be a bit tongue in cheek as most people think we pole for men (strippers) so I thought why not literally pole for men (health), if you see what we mean."
It'll take place at the Litton and Thorners Village Hall from 7pm on October 31st with tickets costing £4.50.
You can get tickets in advance by contacting Ally on 07775532101 or purchase on the door.
