8:04am 15th October 2014
Some of the finest pieces of church silverware in the country have gone on display at Dorset County Museum.
A new exhibition has been opened by the Bishop of Sherborne, Dr Graham Kings.
Called Dorset's Church Treasure the display also includes a rare knife used for cutting communion bread.
It tells the story of Christianity over 2000 years.
Jon Murden Director of Dorset County Museum said; "We are grateful to all the Dorset parishes which have loaned items for us to display. We hope many people will be able to see these hidden treasures before they go back into safe storage."
The exhibition runs until the 18th April, 2015.
