Find Out About Life As An Army Reservist Tonight

11:40am 21st October 2014

They've been battling tough terrain in challenging weather conditions, and coming under fire from pyrotechnic explosions.

Army reservists from Dorchester's C Company 6 Rifles have been in charge of a major training exercise in South Wales.

Now back on home turf, tonight they're holding an open evening at their Dorchester HQ from 7.30pm.

Captain Nick Taylor told Wessex FM what they're looking for in new recruits;

"A guy that's robust, but doesn't have to be super fit because we can get him there. And a guy that's open to a challenge and is prepared to give a bit."

"I think it's very rewarding. It gives them a chance to develop leadership, to develop their own personal skills and it gives a lot to a civilian employer."
