Weymouth lifeboat was launched yesterday afternoon to help a kayaker who had been blown ashore by strong winds.
The casualty was suffering from breathing difficulties and was on the rocks just east of Bowleaze Cove.
Due the danger of rocks below the water surface the inshore lifeboat was unable to land near the stranded Kayaker, the decision was made to move 100 metres further along the coast where it was just possible to get the lifeboat to the beach.
A crew member with a first aid kit landed and made their way over the rocky shoreline to the causality, who'd fallen off of the kayak and due to breathing problems was unable to climb back on.
A friend of the casualty, who by now had made his way from the Cove to the beach was taken along with the causality into the lifeboat and transported back to Weymouth.
