A Masterplan For Cerne Valley Put To The Vote
9:06am 24th October 2014
Dorset's first Neighbourhood Plan could be coming to Cerne Valley if villagers give it the go ahead.
The plans aim to give residents a greater say in the future of their area, including where new homes, shops or offices might be built.
The plan was drawn up by local people, and agreed by the parish council, who felt confident that the plan reflects the hopes and views of the local community.
A local referendum will take place on December 11th with locals being giving the chance to vote yes or no, but they need to register by November 25th to take part.
Polls will be open between 7am and 10pm on 11 December, with the counting of votes from 10pm.
