A world celebrated storyteller and author will be sharing his latest tale on board the tall ship London Pelican this coming weekend at Weymouth Pirate Festival.
Adrian Beckingham has been living in Dorset 21 years. This year marks the 20th anniversary of him sharing tales professionally as The Man from Story Mountain.
He is already the author of three other books, but his latest venture, The Diamond Ship, opens a door to a tale that has been kept almost secret for close to 300 years.
Adrian Beckingham as The Man from Story Mountain is well known to two whole generations of school children across Dorset, where he has visited over 150 schools, many of them on an annual basis. He is a storyteller who has appeared everywhere from the Glastonbury Festival to The British Museum, from the Sahara Desert to the Himalayan Mountains.
The Diamond Ship is an illustrated novel and was published on September 1, 2014. It retails in most book stores at £6.99 with a suggested reader age from 7 - 12.
Adrian will be happy to sign books on the London Pelican after his storytelling, which takes places on Saturday from 2 - 4pm aboard the ship, and from noon till 4pm on Sunday. The event is suitable for all ages from 6 years upward.
