Morcombelake Crash: New Information Emerges

New information about a car crash near Morcombelake involving three cars and left one driver seriously injured has come to light.

Police believe a fourth car witnessed the incident that happened around 11am on the 21st October and are asking the driver to come forward.

A blue VW Polo was travelling east toward Morcombelake when it collided with a black Nissan Patrol travelling in the opposite direction.

The Polo then collided head on with a red VW Golf badly injuring the driver.

Police Constable Sara Mackay, of Bridport police, said: "Following an initial investigation into the incident new information has come light. I now believe that a fourth vehicle, described as a silver car, may have witnessed what happened.

"I am appealing for the driver or occupants of this vehicle to come forward.

"I would also like to hear from anyone else who may have witnessed the incident or the manner of driving of the blue VW Polo prior to the collision.

"All calls will be treated in the strictest confidence."  

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 21:132. Alternatively, call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
