Students from Wey Valley Campus in Weymouth have flicked through over 600 books and read more than 10 million words after getting a £10,000 grant.
The money from the Foyle Foundation has been used to launch an accelerated reading programme that's been helping pupils in years 7 and 8.
The schools been putting on extra lunchtime and after-school sessions and now some students are expected to hit personal reading milestones of a million words by Christmas.
They've been able to enjoy a huge range of new books across different genres, from bestsellers to brand new copies of the old classics.
Principle at Wey Valley, Phil Thomas said: "This is all down to the pace and engagement of students and excellent support from staff during lessons and the many extra lunchtime and after-school sessions that are now available.
The accelerated reading programme has ignited a love of books and created a real culture of reading among our students in years 7 and 8."
