UPDATED - Weymouth Driver Critical After Accident Near Broadmayne

A man from Weymouth is still in a critical condition in hospital after a serious accident near Broadmayne yesterday.
At 11.53am on Wednesday 19 November 2014 a single vehicle road traffic collision occurred on the A352 just outside of Broadmayne.
A grey Ford Focus, being driven by a 59-year-old man from the Weymouth area, was travelling from Dorchester toward Broadmayne.
Just before entering the village, the vehicle left the road to the nearside, colliding with a telegraph pole.
The driver of the vehicle was treated at the scene by medical staff and transferred to Southampton Hospital. He suffered serious injuries and is in a critical condition.
Police Constable Gareth Blaken, of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit, said: “The road was closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene. I would like to thank affected motorists for their patience.
“Any witnesses to the collision should call Dorset Police on 101.”
