Dorchester Child Cancer Patient Raises Funds To Help Others

After overcoming his own personal battle with cancer, a Dorchester school boy is bringing some festive cheer to others who are going through the same thing.
Rian Harvey was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia and now he's raising money to buy hampers for other children with cancer this Christmas.
He said: "On Christmas day having gifts from someone I didn't know was actually quite nice. Knowing that there was someone out there that did care and did know I was ill and for them to say we're here for you here's a present and get well soon".
He's raising the money through Help a Friend charity who supported Rian through his tough times with the disease.
They're looking to use the money raised to give Christmas hampers to the children currently receiving treatment at the Kingfisher Ward of Dorset County Hospital.
