Pedestrian Suffers Head Injuries After Falling Into River

A pedestrian who had to move out of the way of a car has suffered head injuries after falling into the River Brit.
The incident happened around 11pm last night on the A3066 Bridport Road near the junction with Whitcombe Road B3161.
Two pedestrians moved to avoid the vehicle which was travelling from Bridport to Beaminster - but one of the walkers fell through railings into the river.
Dorset Police are urging anyone who saw the light coloured vehicle prior to the incident to come forward.
