Weymouth Shoppers Brave Black Friday

Black Friday

11:23am 28th November 2014

We've been hearing from the shoppers who braved local shops today on Black Friday.

Half a billion pounds is expected to be spent on debit and credit cards as people try to make the most of the massive discounts on a range of goods.

At least two people have been arrested after fights broke out at several supermarkets holding the American-style sales.

A woman was also injured when a TV fell on top of her at a Tesco superstore in Greater Manchester.

But sales here have been calmer with most shoppers telling Wessex FM it may have been busier than usual, they still found the bargains they were looking for.
