Help for Environmental Projects In Dorset
12:03am 30th November 2014
Conservation and environmental research projects across Dorset could be given a financial helping hand to secure their long-term future.
Wessex Water is re-launching their Partners Programme that's looking for three or four major projects who will get between £15,000 and £20,000 annually for the next five years.
There will also be the opportunity for one or two standalone projects to be supported every six months, over the next five years. For these projects an individual payment of between £2,500 and £5,000 will be available.
Applications for the major grant award will be open until Friday 19 December 2014 and the first applications for the small grant award will be open from 1 to 30 April 2015.
Dave Jones said: "Our partners programme has been running since 1998 and has been really successful in helping to support wildlife linked to the water environment."
"We have always viewed our funding of work by external groups as a partnership as we believe we can achieve more for wildlife by working with other organisations as it lets us accomplish goals we would never be able to do on our own."
