Concern Over New Homes Planned For Weymouth
9:37am 17th December 2014
Hundreds of residents have been expressing their concerns to developers about their plans to build 340 homes next to Nottington village in Weymouth.
A drop-in session was held by C G Fry and Son yesterday to let the public see the plans and talk to the project team.
The developer's Land and Planning Director David Lohfink says they've been addressing people's concerns.
He told Wessex FM: "We've had a mixed reaction but that's the nature of planning consultations, which is most people who come along have concerns."
"Genuinely most people have come to see what the plans entail and talk about some of their concerns."
But Chloe from the village says she's still not happy: "We're quite upset with them because we're going to be directly affected by the plans."
"At the moment they've got houses right on our back garden and we're hoping they can rejig the plans a bit but this is the first we've of heard of the plans."
The site is situated south of Nottington Lane, roughly 0.2km east of the village and 3.2km north of Weymouth.
