Managerless Magpies Desperately Need Win

8:15am 17th January 2015

It's a big weekend of football for manager-less Dorchester today.

Former boss Graham Kemp stepped down from his role at the club earlier this week after a poor run of form saw the Magpies slip into the bottom three in the league.

The club are taking on Banbury United at the Avenue Stadium and Chairman Matt Lucas says it's vital the side starts picking up more points.

He told Wessex FM: "It's an extremely important game. All games are important and where we are in the league at the moment, every game has to be seen as a cup final and it is as simple as that."

Elsewhere, Bridport are out for revenge against Hallen.

The Bees' opponents pinched a one nil victory in a match that Bridport dominated when the sides last met in September.

Manager Trevor Senior said they want to set the record straight in this home fixture.

He said: "It's a bit of a sore subject really becuase we created enough chances to win 10 games and they created one chance and scored."

"But at the end of they the day they got the three points and we didn't so this should be an intriguing game."

Weymouth are also in action as they travel to play Slough Town and Portland Utd are away to Shaftesbury Town.
