An underground dinosaur museum on Portland could bring £20m to our local economy every year according to the people behind the plans.
The £80m attraction, called Jurassica is expected to bring in an estimated 960,000 visitors a year and it could create more than 150 full-time jobs.
Chief Executive of the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ian Girling said it could become a major attraction.
He told Wessex FM: "The design of the Jurassica is ground-breaking. We've got world class architects involved and I think it's incredibly exciting for the area."
"Tim Smit from the Eden Project is very closely involved and we know what a fantastic success that has been for the South West of England."
The charity is currently carrying out a £30,000 traffic impact study.
