Crime in our county has fallen by 8% but sexual offences are up.
New figures from the Office For National Statistics show that Dorset has seen one of the biggest reductions in overall crime across the country.
But 758 sexual offences were recorded in the 12 months up to September last year - that's an increase of 30% from the year before.
That's higher than the national average - which saw sexual offences increase by 22%.
But there have been big drops in other types of crime in Dorset - including a 15% fall in the number of robberies and a 14% reduction in domestic burglary.
