Two Dorset schools are being given a joint lottery award of £6,000 to help ease pressure on their students.
The money is helping Stoborough School and The Purbeck School introduce the skill of 'mindfulness' which helps keep their attention on the here and now and makes it easier to accept things they can't change.
Both schools want to offer mindfulness training to all parents and staff as well as students to find new ways to solve some of the stresses facing young people today.
Nationally, 1 in 10 children and young people aged 5 - 16 suffer from a diagnosable mental health disorder.
The project is being launched in our area to make sure children able to cope with th increasing demands today's fast paced world is putting on them.
