Market Car Park Chaos

That's how one Dorset resident has described the new lay out of market car park in Dorchester.
Pat Graves from Martinstown says there was gridlock at 8.15 in the morning on market day, with cars queuing and drivers competing for spaces.
She's not impressed:
West Dorset District Council have told us:
The old layout resulted in several of the avenues in the car park becoming dead ends on market days. Which made it very difficult for visitors to the market to find a space and many drivers having to carry out a difficult reversing manoeuvre. This led to many complaints.
The new layout addresses this. The lining work is not fully completed, the Lining Company has yet to put down all of the directional arrows and the last few parking bays. When completed the traffic flow direction will be clearer and there will be a small increase in the total number of bays previously provided.
