Local MP Travels to Budapest to Support Dorset Man Facing Fraud Charges
9:46am 7th June 2012
South Dorset's MP is travelling to Hungary to support a local man on trial for fraud.
Michael Turner was charged with the offense after his time share firm collapsed in 2008.
When it all started Turner was held in a Hungarian jail for 4 months before being allowed to fly back home to Dorset in 2009.
2 years later he was charged by the authorities who say he owes creditors 18 thousand pounds.
Today (Thursday 7th June 2012) is the first day of the 30 year olds trial in Budapest and Local MP Richard Drax has flown out to support him and his family.
The Foreign Office is monitoring proceedings.
Turner denies the charges.
