Dorset Under Flood Alert


3:18pm 7th June 2012

We're being warned about a risk of flooding in Dorset.

The Environment Agency have issued flood alerts for a lot of the county, including, Weymouth Harbour, Preston Beach, West Bay Harbour.

Burton Bradstock, Chesil Beach and the Fleet could also be affected around high tide tonight which is 9.30pm.

List Of Areas Under Flood Alert:

Weymouth Harbour and the tidal stretch of the River Wey.

Tidal stretches of the Lower Frome and River Piddle.

Castletown, Weymouth, Preston Beach, Swanage Bay, Studland Bay.

West Bay Harbour and the tidal stretch of the River Brit.


Rivers Lim, Char, Simene, Brit, Asker, Mangerton and Bride.

Charmouth, Seatown, West Bay, Bothenhampton, Burton Freshwater, Burton Bradstock, Cogdean Beach, Chesil Beach, West Fleet, East Fleet and Chiswell.
