Tributes Paid to Weymouth Cyclist

Tributes are being paid to a cyclist who was killed in a collision with a bus in Weymouth.

The accident happened on Newstead Road on Friday afternoon.

The 19 year old Lewis Monks was cycling on the road near the ASDA Superstore when the incident happened.

Paramedics were unable to save him and he died at the scene.

Sarah Tatlow comments "it was a tragic accident, thoughts go out to family and friends".

Collette Fitzpatrick writes "rest in to peace to this poor young man".

He was a BMX rider and MC, the Front Skateboard park in Weymouth have paid tribute to him on their facebook page.

Floral tributes to Lewis have been left at the scene of the accident.

Dorset Police are still conducting their investigations and want to talk to anyone who witnessed the accident.
