Woman Attacked By Two Men In Weymouth

A woman’s been violently attacked by two men in Weymouth.
The incident took place just after 4.30pm on Tuesday 19 June 2012 in the car park at the rear of the Spar shop on Abbotsbury Road at the junction with Newstead Road.
Detective Constable James Mullen of Weymouth CID, said: “The victim, a 53-year-old woman, was taken by surprise by two men, one grabbed hold of her while the other stole a bag containing money.
“The offenders then ran off in different directions, one went down Abbotsbury Road into Holland Road, and the other ran up Abbotsbury Road towards Swallow Court.
“The victim sustained minor cuts and bruises during the incident.”
The first offender is described as a black male, in his late 20’s, over six feet six inches tall and of muscular build. He was wearing dark coloured clothing, a dark jumper which may have had white on the front and a black woollen hat.
The other offender is described as a black male, in his early 20’s, about six feet tall, and of thin build. He was also wearing dark coloured clothing.
DC Mullen continued:” This was a violent attack by two males on a lone female.
“Any information, no matter how insignificant it may appear, may help me to track down the men responsible for this robbery and bring them to justice.
