7:41am 22nd June 2012
Police in Dorchester are still trying to trace the female driver of a silver-grey car that was involved in a collision with a male cyclist.
The accident happened on Damers Road, around 2pm on Wednesday the 13th June.
Police Constable Gemma Nowell-Smith, of Dorchester police, said: "Following further investigation I now believe that the silver-grey vehicle involved might have been a Citroen.
"The driver of the car stopped at the scene and also took the cyclist to Dorset County Hospital for a check up. Therefore, this is not a fail to stop collision.
"The cyclist has now undergone an operation to his elbow which had to be pinned.
"I am appealing for the driver of the silver-grey car to come forward.
"I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident as I believe there were a lot of witnesses around at the time."
