The Free App That Could Help Save A Life

9:11am 28th June 2012

People in Dorchester, Weymouth and Portland are being encouraged to download a new FREE app that could save your life.

It's a First Aid app, that offers advice on what to do in an emergency and how to treat minor injuries.

It was created by St John Ambulance and when it was first launched in 2010 became the bestselling health and fitness app on the market.

Nearly 120,000 people have now downloaded it - and the charity has learnt it has already saved a life, when a mother got in touch to say she was able to give first aid to her choking babe, thanks to the app.

The app is free to download from the Apple App Store. The charity hopes to develop a multiplatform app this year.
