Decision On Dorset Windfarm Delayed
9:22am 28th June 2012
A decision on whether a huge windfarm will be built inbetween Dorchester and Wareham has been delayed.
Wessex FM has learnt the legal inquiry into the Alaska Windfarm is still rumbling on.
Plans to build the 4 turbines near Wool were firmly rejected by a Purbeck Planning Commitee a year ago.
Campaigners saw this as a straight victory, after they argued they'd be too close to a local Scout Camp.
But a planning inspector was assigned to investigate their claims and report back with a FINAL decision on the wind farm this week.
He's now fallen ill delaying the result, although campaigners say they remain confident the plans will be rejected again.
