Dorset Lollipop Ladies Land Olympic Role
8:34am 16th July 2012
14 'lollipop ladies' in Dorset have landed the job of a lifetime.
They will be meeting and greeting visitors to the Olympics in Weymouth.
During the Games the School Crossing Patrols will be using their familiar lollipop signs to help visitors cross the road along the last mile through Weymouth to the Nothe Gardens spectator area.
They have been chosen for their experience in dealing with large crowds and Senior Highways Technician Rob Camp says they will be "the envy of lollipop people across the country."
