A man's been taken to hospital with serious injuries after his tanker crashed near Lyme Regis.

The heavy goods vehicle - which was transporting tar - turned on its side at the A35 roundabout on the Charmouth bypass, just before midnight last night (Thursday 18th July 2012).

Some of the tankers contents leaked over the road.

Dorset Police and Fire Rescue teams managed to get the driver to safety before taking him to Hospital for emergency treatment.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
