Weymouth Shop Under Attack from Highstreet Neighbours

A high-end restaurant in Weymouth wants a nearby shop to clean up its act after claims they're losing customers because it looks tatty.
The Dining Room on St Mary's Street says the second hand shop HS4B opposite them has too much clutter outside.
The owner has complained to Weymouth and Portland Borough Council who sent staff down to investigate.
HS4B support people who've gone bankrupt and Boss Iain Lambert has launched a petition to get official recognition and support from the Council. He claims Weymouth and Portland Borugh Council Councillor Ray Banham is against him and the shop. Click the player below to hear more from Iain.
When Wessex FM spoke to the owner of the dining room, he said customers had emailed him complaining about the HS4B shop, saying it's an eyesore and put them off coming back.

Weymouth and Portland Borough Councillor and Mayor Ray Banham called on Environmental Health to investigate, but they didn't find any infractions. Dorset County Council has now taken over and will investigate before the Olympics. Click below to hear an interview with Councillor Banham.
