Olympic Opening Ceremony to be Screened Live in Weymouth
8:43am 23rd July 2012
You can watch the opening ceremony of the London Olympics live on two giant screens at Weymouth Beach.
It's a free event, and everyone's invited to attend on Weymouth Beach at 1pm.
There will also be a spectacular fireworks display over Weymouth Bay and music from Dorset Choral group Coastal Voices.
The main ceremony will start at 9pm at the Live Site, which is at the southern, Pavilion end of Weymouth Beach.
It can entertain up to 15,000 people at any one time but access to the site will be closely controlled and managed for safety reasons.
It’s been organised by Weymouth and Portland Borough Council.
