Over seven thousand pounds has been raised from sales of Bridport's bottled beer, which will help young people achieve their sailing dreams.

5p of every bottle or pint of Palmers Dorset Gold goes to the Chesil Trust which enables young and disadvantaged people to get sailing.

And the sales of Dorset Gold are up 33 percent on last year.

Cleeves Palmer, sales and marketing director at the brewery, said: "Palmers has a long history of raising money for good causes through beer sales and has raised many thousands of pounds over the years. This year we are looking at a big handout to our selected charities."
