An old Second World War mine that's used to collect change for the RNLI in Weymouth has been broken open by thieves.
It was given to the Kings Arms pub on the quay by the Royal Navy.
Thieves rolled it down the harbourside last night and removed the plate on the bottom to take the cash.
Landlord Pete Whittle says it hasn't been opened for 4 years so they have no idea how much change was inside.
Police are investigating and are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.
