Traffic Queues Likely

With Bank Holiday traffic and a series of high profile events across Dorset this week which are likely to cause further jams, Dorset Police say we should think ahead and plan accordingly.

In addition to holidaymakers on the move, queues are expected on roads to Tarrant Hinton and Dorchester in particular later this week because of the great Dorset Steam Fair, Dorset County Show and Paralympics.

Dorset Police Superintendent Mick Rogers says they have additional resources and contingency plans, but we can help by checking likely delays on line in advance,  listening for traffic announcements, and taking plenty of water in your car
