Colonel On Bolivian Expedition

Dorset explorer Colonel John Blashford-Snell's latest adventure is underway.

He's taking a group of eight people t oa jungle area of North Eastern Bolivia.

The team will  meet  indigenous people, dig four water wells and provide both medical and dental aid.

The colonel will also find out more about a meterorite which crash to earth there five thousand years ago and is buried three kilometres below the surface.

He'll also be investigating strange 'double-nosed' dogs, originally found 100 years ago and rediscoved in the last decade.

After that the Colonel plans to continue on to Ecuador before returning to Dorset in mid September.
