Police Step Up The Fight Against Industrial Crime

Police are stepping up their fight against Industrial Crime in Blandford.

17 businesses attended a meeting held by the town's safer Neighbourhood Team aimed at raising awareness of this type of crime.

They were also told about the free ringmaster service run by Dorset Police.

It's a community messaging system that sends out updates on criminal activity they need to be aware of.

Police Community Support Officer Rich Mullins, from the Blandford Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "This meeting will continue to be a regular one in Blandford.

"This will give the Blandford Safer Neighbourhood Team the opportunity to discuss what is happening in the area and what we, the police, are doing to tackle these issues.

"It also gives us the opportunity to offer crime prevention advice to the industrial community and let them know what they can do to help keep their property safe."
