A specially commissioned flag has been awarded to HMS Bulwark off Portland.
The Royal Navy Flagship has spent the past 2 months in the bay providing security for the Olympic sailing events.
The new flag was flown on the ships mast and will be kept by the ships news commanding officer until it returns to Portland.
Mayor of Portland, Sylvia Bradley presented the special flag to the ships crew.
"They welcomed so many special visitors to the ship even while conducting their operational duties. My visit to the ship was quite remarkable, arriving into the dock inside in a passenger vessel was just amazing, with so many demonstrations of the capability on board. Everyone I met was so friendly and helpful. It was a really special day that I won't forget. It has been good to have the Royal Navy back on the island."
