Hospice Fete Goes Ahead
9:20am 15th September 2012
The rescheduled Joseph Weld Hospice fete gets underway today (Saturday 15th September).
Questions were raised whether the fete would go ahead after £ 3,000 worth of items for the stalls was destroyed in an arson attack earlier in the week.
The popular event was postponed - for the first time in its history - in July following after heavy downpours waterlogged their meadow site.
Weldmar Hospice Care Trust cares for patients with cancer and other progressive conditions, such as motor neurone disease, who require specialist help. All services are provided free of charge.
