Weymouth residents will find out later how the Council plan to improve safety on a busy road into town.
Concerns have been raised over crossing Chafeys Roundabout over to Swannery Junction due to the high number of fast cars.
A 5-year-old girl was killed in an accident when crossing nearby earlier this year, and many people say they're scared to cross.
Dorset County Council's Highway teams have been discussing ideas all summer on what they can do to make it safer and easier for pedestrians and cyclists.
They'll outline their ideas at a public meeting tonight (Wednesday 26th September 2012) at Emmanuel Church in Southill from 6.30pm.
Local Councillor for Westham David Harris has been leading the charge along with a thousand local residents who've petitioned the County Council over the issue.
He hopes the new safety proposals will give people confidence to cross the busy road. You can listen to more from Mr Harris below.
