Disabled Workers To Protest At Tory Conference
8:51am 9th October 2012
Remploy Workers in Dorset - who lost their jobs - will demonstrate at the Conservative Party Conference on Wednesday (10th October 2012).
Dozens of disabled workers were laid off when the local factory closed this summer.
The Poole site was one of 36 shutdown in Government cutbacks.
Former workers say they; "intend to bring home to Conservative activists the harsh reality of decisions made by this government to close Remploy factories and the cynical way Ministers used disabled charities to throw disabled workers out of work".
