Another week .... Another scam in South Dorset!

Online computer criminals are the latest group who're trying to get their hands on your money illegally.

This new scam works by giving computer users a type of virus that freezes or locks their screen. They then ask you to fork out £100 via Paypal to get it fixed which is how they get your money and con you.

Dorchester pensioner Royston Jonskip says he nearly fell victim to the scam, but he didn't trust the message and took it to a computer shop to get fixed for a lot less money.

Speaking to Wessex FM Dorset Police say; "There is a large number of various internet based scams, almost too many to investigate them all, but there is some good advice available offered by Dorset police on our website.
