MP Wants U-Turn To Save Soldiers' Jobs

South Dorset's MP has hit out at the Government over plans to scrap one our most famous bands of soldiers.
It was announced in the spending review that The 2nd Regiment Royal Fusiliers would be dissolved to save on the defence budget.
MP Richard Drax spoke out during a House of Commons motion calling for the decision to be reversed: "The priority should be to defend our country and her people. Our priorities are wrong."
"Throwing money at the Soviet-style bureaucracy that some people call the EU and at foreign aid to states that practise genocide is utter madness at a time when we are cutting our armed services."
"We have to face our responsibilities seriously, put politics to one side and look at the future of our country....Our country comes first, our careers come second."
