A woman living near Dorchester has managed to raise some vital funds for a local charity that cared for her husband.
Last year Lynda Pain's husband David spent 7 weeks at Joseph Weldmar Hospice before passing away.
As a thank you to staff there that looked after him, she opened up her gardens in Lower Bockhampton to the public and managed to raise £425 for Weldmar and Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Lynda commented "The care that David received at the Hospice was excellent and so was the invaluable support which they gave us both. This is my way of saying thank you. I would also like to thank everyone who helped at the open gardens - I could not have done it without the support of my friends".
