(Updated 7:57am 26th October 2012)
Dorset soldiers who fought in a little know war over a hundred years ago will be honoured in Dorchester for their bravery today (Wednesday 24th October 2012).
23 soldiers from the Dorsetshire Regiment were killed on the North West Frontier of India in 1897.
They were fighting alongside their Indian counterparts to restore order after a series of attacks on military forts.
Members of the Royal British Legion and the Royal Navy Association have organised a special 20 minute service in the Dorchester's Borough Gardens from 11am in their memory.
It'll take place at the obelisk. If it rains, it'll be held at the Keep Military Museum in Bridport Road.
