There's to be a protest over plans to bring four rural wards into a bigger electoral area based on Wool.
Purbeck council say the boundary commission have ignored this summer's residents consultation in proposing the wards of Moreton, Affpuddle and Turnerspuddle, East Holme, and East Stoke, become part of a new 'semi-urban Wool ward represented by three councillors.
Residents and councillors expressed disappointment that the local community identity had not been taken into account.
Letters of objection are being sent to the Commission, local MP's and parish councils affected by the changes.
The boundary commission's proposals have to go before parliament for approval, and if they're accepted would come into force in the 2015 district council elections.
